Marketplaces and on-demand services

Marketplace and on-demand app development

A marketplace serves two audiences in one product: people looking for a service and the professionals offering it. Both sides have to find it worth their time, so onboarding, search and trust matter as much as the code.

What we build

Two-sided apps that connect customers with providers

We built the Djossi service marketplace app for Africa. People sign up either as a professional or as someone looking for a service, then browse categories such as maintenance, cleaning and security, and compare provider profiles.

  • Separate onboarding for customers and service providers
  • Service categories, search and provider profiles
  • Ratings and provider details
  • Multi-language support for several markets

Marketplaces

What makes marketplace software different

Two journeys from the first screen

Customers and providers want different things. Separate onboarding paths keep each journey short and relevant.

Trust is a feature

Verification, ratings, profile details and clear dispute handling are what make strangers comfortable doing business.

Supply before demand

Most marketplaces launch in one area with providers recruited first, so early customers find someone available. The product should support that rollout.

A back office from day one

Approvals, disputes, refunds and content all need admin tools before launch, not after the first problem.

FAQ

Questions about marketplace projects

Can you build both the customer and provider apps?

Yes. They can be two apps or one app with two modes, sharing one backend and admin panel. Djossi uses one app with a separate onboarding path for each side.

Can you add payments, commissions and payouts?

Yes. We integrate a payment partner for bookings, commissions and provider payouts, and give your team refund and dispute tools in the admin panel.

Can a marketplace app support several languages and countries?

Yes. Language selection, local currencies and region-specific categories can be built in. Djossi includes language selection for a multi-country audience.
